Tampa Bay is one of the country's largest estuaries and home to some of the country's most saught after gamefish. Shallow water fishing enthusiests have descended upon it's shallow flats for decades in search of snook, redfish, trout and tarpon and with todays conservation initiatives, the fishing has never been better.
Tampa Bay offers excellent fishing opportunities all year round. The scenery and targeted species may change with the seasons but the awesome fishing action remains the same throughout the year. In the Spring you'll likely be fishing the flats and near creaks and river mouths for snook, redfish and trout. In the Summer you'll be chasing snook, redfish and trout on the flats again but you'll also have the added bonus of getting into some great mackerel and snapper fishing in the open water of Tampa Bay. In the fall the redfish bite hits it's peak and 100 fish days on the flats are not unheard of. Then in the wintertime you'll head to the brackish backwaters in search of redfish, sheephead, trout, snook and jack crevelle.
