Tampa Fishing Charters Late April
I took my sons Bailey and Daimon out on a scouting/fishing trip. We went in the Fort Desoto area. I know a couple of spots that the redfish are thick at but I wanted to find some different spots. My sons and I started looking and fishing in many different spots catching several nice trout but no redfish. The water was very low so that limited the places I could look at. We went to several more spots, still no redfish. Toward the end of the day I told the boys “let’s go catch some redfish” so I headed to the spots that I knew had redfish. I used my trolling motor on very slow speed, which is very, very important not to spook the fish. Once I saw the redfish I anchored up and started chumming, the fish were blowing up on the chum so the boys started fishing or should I say catching. All of the redfish were big 28″-34″/ 10 to 20lbs. Looks like my Tampa Fishing Charters in the Fort Desoto area will produce some nice trout and many big redfish.
